    Yes — it’s a very cleverly done “non logo.” Klotz’s language is a little much, but I do think he’s actually pretty shrewd about this stuff. (I don’t know him, though I believe I did speak to him once, if I remember correctly.) I think he is, or was some years ago, friends with Dov Charney — whose American Apparel brand is also “unlogoed,” technically. (But it too has a recognizable inner tag.) I’ve had too many conversations with people who think a brand is just logo — as you articulate here, a brand is a lot more than that. For better or worse.
